Color blocking-How I mixed colors to achieve a great color blocking look.
Color blocking is the new me. Hello ladies of fashion! Hope you had a lovely weekend.
Welcome back to my blog.
I guess we all know how much i love black colors but lately have fallen deeply in love with orange and it’s gradually becoming my new black. So, today am sharing with us on how i wore this two colors a new way.
Color blocking is the exploration of taking colors that are opposite on the color wheel and paring them together to make interesting complementary color combination.
“Life is gray and dull; you might as well have a little fun with colors”
The color blocking trend has been around for a while now and it’s now part of fashion vernacular. Remember when color blocking was the ‘it thing’ back then in 2011. But lately it has been cropping up in creative new way; stars, bloggers and fashion lovers are matching up outfits with bold accessories focusing on softer and more complementary colors.
This days have been doing a lot of mixing shades together in an unexpected way, trying to live outside the box of muted hues, neutrals and monochromes, and for me it’s boosting my confidence and daring me to keep trying new colors everyday.
I remember during one of our fine art classes in secondary where we were taught on how to mix colors and how to achieve a particular color especially secondary colors by mixing two or more primary colors together little did I know it wasn’t going to end there. Now we get to mix color without practically using a brush and a color paste.
Being great at mixing colors in school, this combination wasn’t hard for me to achieve. SO in fine out this is my mixture of yellow and orange to give me a color called yellow-orange. It’s immiscible ability make it a good color blocking combination.
Orange and yellow is the seasons winning color combo and this outfit is a proof.
